CSS Treasure Chest Blog Hop

Welcome to another CSS Blog Hop!  If you came from Joy's blog you are in the right place, and if not be sure to start at the beginning HERE.  This month we are having a Treasure Chest Blog Hop....and the "treasure" is the Stamp TV Kit!  Stamp TV Kits are such a great value of stamps, cardstock and accessories, they are some of my "go-to" stamp sets.  For my card I used the Sent with Love Stamp TV Kit and paired it with some Echo Park Be Mine patterned paper.  I will say this pattern paper is on a larger scale (from their 12 x 12 packs), but thrilled to share that Gina K. Designs is now carrying the 6 x 6 pads in the store, including this one!  I stamped the image, die-cut it with Labels 14, and lightly sponged it with pink ink.

Make sure to leave a comment on each of the blogs...Gina will randomly choose a winner who will get to choose ANY past StampTV stamp set of their own! Winner will be announced Tuesday morning!

Next stop on the hop is...Giovana!  Can't wait to see what design she has to share for the hop.

PDCC#79

Do you like quick cards? I know I do!  I think my new found fondness for CAS designs comes from the fact that lately my crafting time is s-h-o-r-t!  Special thanks to spring...which I love because it means baseball, daughter's piano recital (yes, I actually like sitting through it, lol), nice weather, and cook-outs (also mean easy dinner, hee-hee).

I made this for the Play Date Cafe Challenge #79 which was to use the color Lime Green, Red and Grey.
Here is a pic of the PDCC79 and hope you can play along:

This card also fits the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger: A Polka Dots Hullabaloo which just screamed to me to use the Circle Grid stencil from The Crafter's Workshop.   The sentiment is from SRM Stickers.

Hope you can also play along with the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger...it is a great one and so many possibilities!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

CP112

Hope you have your shades...cause this is BRIGHT!  I used the Card Patterns 112 sketch and some Echo Park Paper Summer Days patterned paper.  The pretty green paper is a new line from Gina K. Designs: Pure Luxury Accents Key Lime, it is just a great layering card stock.  The mug is from the stamp set Mugs and Kisses and I combined it with one of the sentiments from the new stamp set Follow Your Dreams.   The fabulous label it is layered on is from Lovely Labels 2.  Great labels to have on hand and incorporate into your designs.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Gina K April Release Inspiration Hop Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Gina K. Designs April Release Inspiration Hop!  We are excited to share with you two more stamp sets which were released last Thursday.  First up is Branching Out, illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger:

I used White, Black Oynx and Green Grass on this card which was very simply stamped and layered.  I used a white opaque gel pen to add a few white accents.

The second stamp set we are focusing on today is Follow Your Dreams, illustrated by Theresa Momber:

I used Kraft card stock and kept this pretty monochromatic other than the patterned paper.  It would work well for a masculine birthday card.  Love the font of the sentiments in this stamp set...especially this bold birthday sentiment!

For even more samples of these new sets, please visit each of the GKD Design Team blogs listed below and leave a comment. The more blogs you comment on, the more chances you have of winning!  Tomorrow Gina will announce on her blog the randomly chosen winners who will each win one of these fabulous new stamp sets!

PDCC78

I made this for the Play Date Cafe Challenge #78.  Funny thing is when I stamped the Garden Wall cling art stamp with Lady Bug (red) ink and sponged it with Spun Sugar distress ink, it turned the red ink pink, lol!  Oh well, it still fits the challenge as here is the color combo:

The sentiment is from SRM Sticker Sentiments - Faith

GKD April Release Inspiration Hop

Welcome to the Gina K. Designs April Release Inspiration Hop!  We are excited to share with you two of the stamp sets released last night.
First up is Garden Silhouettes, the One free with 3 stamp set:

I used Red Hot, Black Oynx and White cardstock.  I embossed the white panel with the Floral Fantasy Cuttlebug folder and smeared it with a yellow gelato.  The image was stamped using markers and then I sponged over the die-cut with Memento Cantaloupe ink.  I framed it with Fancy Tags.  One of my favorite ribbons from GKD is this Black Gingham, just a fun width and it makes the prettiest bows :)

Next is Timeless Textures, which I also paired with Garden Silhouettes. There are no limits to this fun set...I have so many ideas floating around in my head and need more time in my day to create....

This was a fun set to put together using two shades of ink.  They would make a nice card set and since they are very CAS, mailing these wouldn't require any extra postage which is a big plus nowadays!

Here is one close up:

Design D.I.V.A.S Blog Hop: Merci

Welcome to the Design D.I.V.A.S Oldies, but Goodies Blog Hop!!  This is the last stop in the hop and if you came from my dear friend, Linda's blog you are in just the right place, and if not, please start at the beginning HERE. The challenge is to create a card/project/scrapbook page using stamps or supplies that are 6 months old.  Well, the first Layers of Color stamp set I bought last summer was Merci Bouquet and thought it would be perfect.  I spritzed an Ivory piece of cardstock with Caribbean Blue Tattered Angels mist and stenciled the Delicious Dots art stencil using Vivid Aqua ink.  The background script is from stamped gray ink.  Recently I discovered the beautiful inking qualities of Versafine Black ink which I used on the floral images, Embroidered Butterfly and sentiment.  The only "new" thing on this design is the Grommet Tags from Spellbinders, oops! :o) couldn't help it, lol!

Thanks for hopping with us today and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Beautiful Birthday

Quick card to share using the STV Kit Springtime Silhouettes.  I paired it with some My Minds Eye patterned paper.  I used the Tim Holtz Distress Stain Wild Honey on the doily, as well as the ribbon.  Love how the stain goes on white ribbon, now I can be even more matchy-matchy, lol!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Gina K. Designs Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to a fun Gina K. Designs Design Team hop!  Today we are showing techniques of all kinds as featured on Stamp TV.  We hope you enjoy hopping through the variety of techniques and are inspired to try something new.  If you came from Lee's blog you are in the right spot, and if not be sure to start at the beginning HERE.   The technique I wanted to focus on is Kissing using the Stamp TV Kit Springtime Silhouettes:

I colored directly on the stamp with markers and kissed it with the worded background from Vintage Backgrounds using Memento Paris Dusk ink before stamping on the cardstock.

Here is a close-up of the flower:

I also stamped the worded background on the patterned paper behind the focal image.  Spellbinders Beaded Ovals is a favorite of mine and looks so pretty sponged.  That pretty button in the center of my ribbon treatment is a gift a dear friend...  whose blog you stop at next: my dear friend Janice...she is such a sweetie!
Thanks so much for hopping with us and hope you have a wonderful day!

SRM Stickers...oh my!

Well...today I am eating my words...  I was always, always anti-sticker...cough-cough...ummm, now I am not.  I LOVE these stickers...  At CHA, my dear friend Nina gave me some SRM Stickers and I stuffed them with the rest of my CHA goodies thinking, eh, maybe I can try one some day.  These are so easy to use and I can say I am a converted sticker card maker...lol!  This card fits two challenges: Play Date Cafe Challenge 76 and the Card Patterns Sketch 110.  Thanks Nina...as if I needed another paper crafting item to collect :o)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

CP110: Layers of Color

I made this for the Card Patterns Sketch 110 and used some of the new Tim Holtz Kraft Resist paper I picked up at my LSS on the way home from vacation...Yes, we stopped on the way home and purely providential that Betty's LSS is on the way, my family is so patient, lol! :o)  I used the Faded Jeans Stain on the Kraft paper and used my heat gun to dry the paper to this pretty blue which made the flourish on the paper just pop!  The stamps are from Layers of Color with the script from The Love Chapter and the focal image butterfly is from Flutterescent

I was a bit MIA last week due to some R&R.  We had a wonderful vacation in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.  The Lord blessed with beautiful weather, lots of swimming (indoor pool, lol!), zip lining, hiking, and even stopped by a great book fair for some great deals on books.  Now we are refreshed and ready to get busy again...  Our oldest son has his first Little League game of the season so back to the ball park for us several nights of the week.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

A simple 5x5 card to share today that uses Vintage Medallion art stencil and Happy Wishes clear art stamp set from Layers of Color.  I sponged over the die using Memento ink in a circular fashion and stamped the sentiment using Memento Black Tuxedo.   Added a little bling and d-o-n-e. :o)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
