Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps DT Member!!!

Woo~Hoo! I am so excited to announce that I am on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Design Team!!! When Korin called and asked me to join her fabulous team I was just tickled pink! The stamps this release are AMAZING and I can't wait to share some things I have made...

Here is a sneak peek at....Love You This Much:

Now don't you just want to hug this cutie right back? I love snowmen and this one is oh so cute and has a warm and cozy coat that is perfect for coloring or paper piecing (which I have to try ASAP, you know how I love to paper piece). I colored him with Copics and wanted him to match up with the plaid Eskimo Kisses patterned paper from Basic Grey. There is another cute saying in this set, but I will have to save that for another time.

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is having another release January 7th so be sure to mark your calendars!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

CCS Design Team Farewell....

I wanted to use a favorite Sentiment Single from Creative Clear Stamps as my final posting as a Design Team member for Creative Clear Stamps and could think of nothing more appropriate than Motherhood... I paired it with a some patterned paper from Fancy Pants Designs called The Daily Grind. The Lord has provided us with true gifts in our children and there is not a better job in the world than "Motherhood."

Before I go...I just need to say that I have so enjoyed designing for Creative Clear Stamps! Laura is just the best and is so easy to work with and most generous with her Design Team! I have been impressed with the great quality of her clear stamps and the service she provides is outstanding. It has truly been a privilege and one in which I know I have grown creatively.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
Blessings,

A Moment...

Can you believe Christmas is over and we are quickly approaching a new year! I am amazed at how the whole week flew by, but sure enjoyed every bit of it :o)

I did manage to get in my stamp room for a smidge and made this for the color challenge of Black/White over on Stamp TV. I used the clock and sentiment from Timeless Treasures. I stamped the clock with Going Gray and stamped the sentiment over it with Memento Black.
I stamped the sentiment on a paper flower as well (something I have seen Jessica do on her blog) and love the look it gives. This was a quick card to make and honestly, those are sometimes the best!

It is a busy week getting the house back together (Christmas decor taken down and put away) and switching my kids' bedrooms so the boys have more room (which is much needed!)

**Blog Candy Alert**
Nina who created the stamp set Lovely Shelf for Gina K. Designs is giving one away on her blog, along with a sample pack of Luxury cardstock. You can find the link HERE. It is a beautiful set...
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Love Is...

I just adore the warm and cozy looking sweater in the Warm and Wonderful stamp set. For this card I wanted to create a loose fiber like texture to the sweater. After I stamped it, I sponged the sweater with Soft Sky ink, and then went over it with a brillo-like metal fiber inked with Blue Bayou ink to create the loose fiber like look.

I have another special surprise to share..I am part of a great book group over on STV and we recently had a book swap for Christmas. We called it A Tale of Two Hobbies because we are combining two great hobbies we love: stamping/reading! Well, my gift arrived last week and my Secret Sis spoiled me something terrible (which I love!!!) Here is a picture of what she sent...

And take a look at this gorgeous card! Love pink and brown.... :o)

And who was she? Why none other than Tina Gilliland. Thanks so much Tina, you are just the bestest! If you enjoy books and stamping...we would love you to join us over on Stamp TV, you can find a link HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Moxie Fab Challenge

I made this card for the Moxie Fab Challenge: All Creatures Great and Small which was to make a Christmas project that incorporates some kind of critter. I used the dog and cat image from Warm and Fuzzy, as well as the sentiment from Seasonal Sayings (love the large font!). I colored the images with Copics and added a little Christmas Red Stickles to the puppy's collar before layering them with dimensionals.

Are you ready for Christmas? I have a little photo to share of one little person in our house who is quite excited! His older sister and brother enjoy watching his excitement as the presents go under the tree and he begins to gain a new understanding of exactly what these packages are. Thankfully he hasn't opened one yet...but just a few more days and he will be ripping into his and ours :o)

Have a wonderful weekend!

I made a Flap Card that I have just been dying to share.... It is hard to narrow down my absolute favorite Creative Clear Stamp set so from the Holiday stamp selection, I chose Let It Snow. This snowman is just adorable and I love the cute sentiments and tree image in this set. I will be sharing how to make this (really EASY) card next week on the CCS Blog on next Wednesday so be sure to stop by there so you can make you own....Did I say it was easy??? It is, It IS!

Be sure to stop by the Design Team members blogs: Laura, Linda, Shelly, Lisa, Rebecca as well as the very creative and talented Olga, Patti, and Theresa.

Laura will also be giving away a new release to one lucky commenter from one of the blog comments, so be sure leave a comment at each stop. You just never know whose blog will be picked! You can look for the announcement of the winner over on the Creative Clear Stamps Blog: A Fairy Creative Place.

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

I made this for the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger Velvet Pastels which comes from Nina Brackett. You have got to see these beautiful pink Christmas stockings, SWEET!! I am very much a girly girl and LOVE pink/ivory so this was right up my alley. I used GKD Heavyweight Ivory as my card base and found some Basic Grey paper that I paper pieced the mittens (from Warm and Wonderful) and added some nice pink felt Ric Rac I bought some time ago.

Have a wonderful day!

Your Warm My Heart

I have enjoyed the newest stamp set from Rupa Shevde Warm and Wonderful. It is perfect for those winter cards that we transition to making after Christmas and for winter themed projects and has just the sweetest sentiment and images. For this card, I paper pieced the scarf and mug with some patterned paper that retired from SU years ago. Paper piecing is a definite favorite technique of mine!

I do hope you are enjoying this time of the year. I love the days as they lead up to Christmas. We have lots of baking, projects to finish and lots of wrapping in the next few days. My goal is to have it all done so we can enjoy time as a family when the kids get out of school for the week before Christmas. It is just the most wonderful time of the year!
I pray you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

CSS Recipe Blog Hop

Several members of the Center Stage Spotlight Team have joined together to share a special Christmas Treat Recipe Blog Hop event with everyone tonight! They have whipped up some treats in their kitchens and their stamp rooms over the past few weeks so we could compile our very first Recipe Book for StampTV!

I am so excited about this Center Stage Alumni Design Team Recipe Blog Hop! I made my favorite...Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bars. These bars are perfect with coffee, tea, with a glass of milk, or just a wonderful snack all by itself! I just love it when Starbucks comes out with their red cups around the holidays. I am known to get all giddy with my first one of the season and sad when they end...just something so festive and *happy* with the red cups! Don't ya think?? Anyways, I love to get a Grande Skinny Vanilla Latte and a Cranberry Bliss Bar (they balance each other out, right??) and my mom found this recipe for me years ago, so I was in SWEET heaven!!! I took a little party favor box, altered it with some Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses patterned paper, and added some Red Ric Rac to hold a piece Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bar to give as a gift. The little mug is from the new set Warm and Wonderful. I paper pieced using the same paper and colored with Copics.

Here are the Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bars by themselves...YUMMO! Now I need some coffee!

You can find the recipe for these delectable bars over on Stamp TV as a free download...more info on that below!

Check out these designer's blogs for the sweet projects they've designed around their treats:

Then, stop by GinaK's blog for a super sweet give-away she has tonight in honor of the hop!

The Recipe Book will be available as a free download PDF on StampTV tonight as well. Look for it on the Freebie Tab link.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Blessings,

Spirit of the Season

I made this using the stamp set Jingle Jangle which has some of the cutest sentiments and sayings. I used some little stickers from Stampendous for the lights that he is all tangled up in and colored him with Copics.

I am going to have to keep this short...It appears as though my family shared their cold with me and I feel rotten... :o( Hope you have a great day!
Blessings,

Merry Christmas

I made this card using a sketch from Stamp TV from the latter part of November. I just love the layers of this card and in this case "crooked" works for me. :o) The Moxie Fab Challenge is Christmas in the Old Country and I think this fits for that theme.

I like the Kraft cardstock with the Real Red and Chocolate Chip. Not the typical Christmas colors, but it works. I used Nina's stamp set Vintage Borders to create the background for the focal image and love the various languages of Merry Christmas. I also used Tami Mayberry's set Calendar Bits and Pieces for the snowflake and sentiment. All in all a very easy card to put together.
Blessings,

Christmas Calendar Card

Just a quick little card to share today. I made this for the color challenge over on STV to use Green, Red and Gold. If you are looking for the gold, it is in the ribbon (little flecks...that counts, right???) I used Calendar Grid and Calendar Bits and Pieces from Tami Mayberry. This was so fast to make and honestly as far behind as I am in making Christmas cards, will be throwing some of these together this weekend!

Have a wonderful day!
Jennie

CPS144

I really enjoy doing the CPS Challenges each week and this one was really fun to create. Square cards have always been a favorite of mine and yet I seldom make one... I combined some of Tami Mayberry's stamp sets: Calendar Bits and Pieces, Calendar Grid and Special Delivery to create this Happy Holidays card. I used some older Basic Grey Figgy Pudding designer paper which is just a favorite of mine even though it is older.

The family is recovering from their colds and whatnot. So thankful for that, this has been a LONG week. It turns out my youngest has had an ear infection. Poor thing... I took him to the doctor late yesterday afternoon and so glad I did, now he can get better :o)

I hope you have a delightful weekend! I have a Christmas party event tonight and I intend to wrap presents and work in some serious stampin' time this weekend. :o)
Blessings,

Sketch Challenge on STV

I am so excited to be the hostess for the sketch challenges over on Stamp TV for the next 3 months. I hope you can join us and create a card using this sketch....if so, you will be entered to win a stamp set of your choice valued at $24.95 or less!

I made two projects using this sketch. The first is a card and since December is so busy, I want to keep the sketches themselves CAS (Clean and Simple), but obviously my card is FAR from it! I ended up layering and layering..and didn't know when to stop, LOL!

The next project I have to share today is a scrapbook page I made using this same sketch. These pictures are from our recent vacation out in the mountains of Virginia. We always work in a hike or two when we are anywhere near the Blue Ridge Mountains.

I do hope you can join us over on STV, you can find all of the details for this week's challenge HERE.

**Personal news...We did manage to decorate our Christmas tree on Tuesday night, but sadly all three kids are battling colds! :o( I am just thankful it is nothing more than a virus and look forward to them feeling better! Thanks so much for stopping by and I do hope you have a wonderful day!

So Kind

I took a break from making Christmas cards to make a sweet Thank You card. I used the stamp set Baby Butterflies Alphabet from Creative Clear Stamps. The alphabet in this set come in two different sizes which gives the stamper/scrapbooker a lot of versatility. There are also some little butterfly images that you can use to add to your project in keeping with the butterfly theme which I used for the background on the Barely Banana cardstock. I like using alphabets for scrapbook pages as well as when I create my own greeting as I did in this case with "So Kind." The sky is the limit on what you can create with this lovely stamp set! Just think of the sassy sayings you can create :o) I hope you have a wonderful day!

My Love Always

I wanted to make a card for the Limelight Sketch Challenge this week (which was to incorporate patterned paper) and combined it with the Color Challenge over on STV to make a card using monochromatic colors. It was also an excuse to set aside my Christmas stamps to create something different and so I went with a Valentines theme using the stamp sets Calendar Grid and Calendar Bits and Pieces from Tami Mayberry. This stamp set is truly a year round stamp set and the sky is the limit to all of these word combinations. I chose to create a Valentines card for my hubby. He loves all shades of brown so this will be perfect!

This is going to be a very busy week for me so stamping time will be limited a bit. We have a tradition of decorating the Christmas tree on the night December 1st and it will be here before I know it! So if it is silent here this week, you will know why.... I am LOST in lights, ornaments, wrapping paper and bows! Have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

Center Stage Spotlight Challenge Blog Hop

It's time for another CenterStage Spotlight Challenge Blog hop!

Hostess: Jessica Fick {Design Team Coordinator}
Theme:
Stamp and color the image on Patterned Paper
{ any occasion card acceptable, it doesn't have to be Christmas themed} { image may be cut out and layered, but must be stamped and colored on patterned paper}
Requirement: any GinaK Designs stamp set & Glitter
Bonus Challenge: decorate the inside of your card to coordinate

It is such a delight to work with these ladies from the Center Stage Spotlight Design Team Alumni and Jessica does a remarkable job organizing these hops! I used a stamp from the Stamp TV Kit Holiday Cheer Kit to add another card to my Christmas card stash. I used the new Kraft cardstock and sadly cut my last sheet (but no worries, I am ordering more ASAP!) I stamped the image on a piece of snowflake Basic Grey Wassail patterned paper and colored it with Copics. In order to add glitter to my card, I added some Christmas Red Stickles to my berries. The edges were lightly sponged with White Craft ink. I am going to have to skip the bonus challenge of doing the inside as I ran out of time... I can't wait to see what everyone else has created for this challenge...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!  I have auto-posted this knowing that I am going to be quite busy cooking a big Thanksgiving dinner and enjoying time with family.

This little project is a Post-It Note Holder that I made for Thanksgiving.   Are you addicted to sticky notes??? I am definitely a "sticky note person"...I have them everywhere...in my purse, in my Bible, in the kitchen, next to the computer, on my craft table...you get the idea.   I knew I needed one to keep straight all of my Thanksgiving meal plans...

The CCS stamp set Turkey Day was perfect for post it note holder and I used some Basic Grey Indian Summer designer paper. I stamped the turkey with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored him with Copics. Then added the words "Turkey Day" from one of the sentiments and also used one of the cutest sayings in the whole set: "First one done, does dishes" I figured the one who is organizing the meal, buying the ingredients, cooking most of the meal can find some relief in sight if someone ELSE cleaning up! :o) I know my daughter was a HUGE help last year and I am sure she will be this year as well.

I like to make a little assortment of hand made gifts for Christmas and can easily see these with a Christmas theme....  I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving :o)
Blessings,

Deets:
Stamp: Turkey Day
Cardstock: Chocolate Brown, Vanilla, Basic Grey Indian Summer
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Vivid Butterscotch
Accessories: Copics, Scallop Edge Punch

Calendar Bits and Pieces Blog Hop

In October, I received an email from Tami Mayberry asking if I would be her guest designer for her next stamp set... What other answer is there than..."Eeeks, I would LOVE to!" Her first set Special Delivery is a favorite of mine and I knew whatever she had up her sleeve would be wonderful so of course I wanted in on it! She has outdone herself with Calendar Bits and Pieces. and Calendar Grid (which you can also get the grid in a digital form if you prefer). Not only is this set perfect for calendars, but cards, scrapbook pages, altered art... you name it, it fits! Some dear friends recently had a party celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary and I just knew this set would be perfect! Little did I know that the calendar layout for the month of November was the same in 1959 as 2009...How cool is that!?! I wanted to commemorate their years together with my design so this is what I came up with...

I so enjoyed making this card and am thrilled with the result...(I don't mean to sound prideful, it just came out better than I envisioned). :o) I even worked in some images from Timeless Treasures and Good as Gold cardstock for their Golden Anniversary! I made a little gift card holder using the Labels One Nesties for a fun treat for the happy couple!

For more inspiration, please visit Calendar Bits and Pieces' illustrator, Tami Mayberry, then to the following Blog Hop Participants from the GinaK Designs team:
