Almost May 1st!

Any idea what tomorrow is??? It is May 1st, which means the Stampin' Up! Retirement list comes out. A new catalog comes out July 1st and SU retires quite a number of stamp sets each May in order to make room for more stamp sets.
I am excited to see new stamp sets and accessories.....Not that I don't have enough, but you know what I mean ;o)

Yesterday I did another challenge on SCS. This week the challenge was taking a card made by Cindy_Haffner and CASE'ing it by changing two elements from the card. Here is my attempt...Cindy's cards are beautiful and if you follow the link to my SCS Gallery there is a link under this card to her original card.
Have a great day!

The challenge on SCS today was "Make it Masculine" LSC113. I probably have a harder time making a card for a man than anything else.

The phrase on this card is a Inkadinkadoo stamp (I found it on clearance at Hobby Lobby) and the little boy fishing is a stamp I got back in 2002, I think. I remember seeing it in a magazine and knew I had to find it and thankfully I did shortly afterwards. I used SU cardstock: Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip and with the mat pack made the holes along the edge for a nice framing touch.

Beauty to Cherish

On SCS they have various challenges that will help with creativity in card making. This is from the Sketch Challenge that was posted yesterday. I had various pieces laying around and put this together rather quickly. It uses the Cuttlebug Divine Swirl Embossing plate as the background. I really like how this one turned out and did another card this afternoon that I will try to post this evening.

If you don't have the Cuttlebug....I highly recommend it. It adds a nice touch to cards!
(Note to my mom, just use mine ;o))

Stampin Up Regional

Last Saturday I went to the Stampin' Up! Regional in Virginia Beach. I met my wonderful friend Linda there and we had a blast! This was my first Regional that was close enough for me to attend....Linda, who is the sweetest downline ever (she hooked me up with the scallop punches before they became the HUGE rave and is just such a blessing to me) and I jumped at the opportunity and we were not disappointed. We each made a ton of swaps and had the best time swapping. I had swapped all of mine in about 40 minutes....I made 100 and was shocked they got traded so fast. It was kind of a bummer because I loved swapping!!!! (I know for next time!!!)
By the way, I got some amazing swaps! I am so thrilled with them all and know my customers will be as well.

I learned a lot from the Regional event and am still trying to assimilate it all.

Be patient with me as I try to figure out all of the things I need on this blog....things like feedblitz or feedburner and some counter thing-a-ma-jig. I pretty much teach myself the computer stuff and try to do it at night when I have more time.

Have a great day and stamp something!

Mother's Day card

ll
I have been messing around trying figure out a Mother's Day card for an upcoming workshop and after much trial and error, I finally made the one that pops. ;o) That is just kind of the way I work...I try to keep at it until I am pleased. Sometimes I am my own worst critic and way too picky... Tomorrow I will try to post a few pictures from the Virginia Beach Regional. It was so much fun and I was able to go with a good friend who signed up under me. It was a great two days and I really hope SU will bring another Regional event to Virginia!

Happy Harmony

Here is a card that I made using some scrapbooking paper from Hobby Lobby with matching ribbon. I love how this coordinates! I used the SU flower from the Sell-A-Bration set Happy Harmony.

Introduction

My name is Jennie and I have been stamping for 7 years. I have been a SU Demonstrator since April of 2005 and it has been a blast. I hope to upload a few pictures this evening and will officially start this blog! Thanks for checking in. ;o)
